TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade - The Short Version

TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

His background matters. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform this new, the breadth is solid.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be coming. That should round things out once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.

Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

This is the detail you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense is your call.

Welcome Offer
